Campus Beautification
GREAT GROUP PROJECT – We’ve had several events where volunteers, staff & residents worked side-by-side to beautify the campus. Now the front round-a-bout that greets all incoming youth, staff, and visitors needs help. The weeds need to be eradicated & drought and deer resistant foliage needs to be planted. Maybe you know a landscape gardener who can offer suggestions and access to plants? Below are some suggestions. No need to be a cleared volunteer for this project since you won’t be on campus interacting with the residents.
- Rugosa roses
- Lilacs
- Peonies
- Lantana
- Monarda
- Honeysuckle
- Buddleia bush
- Sweet William
Other items on the wish list:
An arbor and perhaps clematis vines or wisteria
Whiskey/wine barrels or other large planter receptacles.
