About Echo Glen Children’s Center
About Echo Glen and Friends of Echo Glen
Nestled beside the peaceful wetlands of Snoqualmie, Echo Glen Children’s Center is a medium/maximum security facility that provides treatment, education, and support for court-involved youth. It serves younger male residents and is the only facility in Washington State for female offenders.
At Echo Glen, youth participate in programs designed to promote healing and personal growth, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Aggression Replacement Training (ART), cultural enrichment, substance recovery, and gender-specific supports. Education is provided through the Issaquah School District, with males staying at Echo Glen up to age 18 and females up to age 25.
Friends of Echo Glen is a 100% volunteer-run community that partners with the facility to bring hope, compassion, and connection to these young people. Our volunteers share their time, talents, and life experiences—leading activities, mentoring through example, celebrating milestones, and showing youth that they are cared for and capable of change.
If you believe in second chances and want to make a difference in a young person’s life, you belong here.
