Help us bring back the fun of Field Day at Echo Glen!
Echo staff have asked us to help create the first campus-wide Field Day since before COVID. This special afternoon will give youth from different cottages (living units) the opportunity to come together, laugh, build positive connections, and simply enjoy being kids.
We’re planning an unforgettable afternoon filled with fun, including:
🐐 Petting zoo
🏃 Obstacle courses
💦 Water balloon activities
🎯 Outdoor games and challenges
🎤 Dunk tank
…and lots more surprises!
This is a chance to create joyful memories and give Echo youth an experience they may not often have—an afternoon focused on fun, teamwork, and celebration.

Echo staff are hoping for a strong volunteer turnout to help run activity stations, encourage youth, and make the day a success.
First-time visitors are welcome! We’ll guide you through what to expect. Before attending, you’ll need to provide your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number so Echo staff can complete a quick background check.

Benefits of Art
These kids need positive ways to express themselves. Studies have shown that at-risk kids who participate in art programs develop higher self-esteem, more self-discipline, better social skills and over-all improved behavior. Art improves attitudes toward school and resistance to peer pressure. It increases the development of communication, cooperation, problem solving and creative thinking.
Creative projects can open up these kid’s minds and allow them to discover new talents. They can actually be motivated by their artwork.
Sharing art is extremely rewarding. The kids absolutely love having their docents come in and look forward to our monthly projects. It is therapeutic for at-risk kids to be able to express themselves through art. For some, this is the one thing they can really succeed at.
These youth come to understand that we invest our time because we care. Their lives are changed forever when they discover someone cares.
