Let’s Overwhelm Echo Staff with Gratitude

This May, we have a meaningful opportunity to show up for the staff at Echo Glen in a powerful way.

Every single day, Echo staff show up for some of the most at-risk and traumatized youth in our state. Their work is not easy—it’s emotionally and physically demanding, often under-resourced, and not highly paid. And yet… they stay.

They stay because they care.
They stay because they believe these young lives can be rewritten.
They stay because they refuse to give up on kids who need them most.

Let’s make sure they know they are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.

💛 How You Can Help

We’re inviting community groups, churches, and businesses to “adopt” a cottage (living unit) and create a Staff Appreciation Box.

  • There are 9 cottages
  • Each cottage supports 8–10 staff per day
  • Our goal is simple: fill each space with encouragement, care, and gratitude

🎁 Ideas for Your Appreciation Box

Quick Energy Snacks

For staff constantly on the move

  • Individual popcorn, pretzels, or trail mix
  • Protein bars or jerky sticks
  • Sweet + salty variety packs

Beverage Boosts

  • Electrolyte packets (like Liquid IV)
  • Sparkling water (LaCroix, Waterloo, etc.)
  • Reusable water bottles or mugs

Shareable Treats

Easy, grab-and-go favorites

  • Cookies (homemade or store-bought)
  • Individually wrapped chocolates
  • Muffins or pastries from a local bakery

Practical Comforts

Small items that make long shifts a little easier

  • $5 coffee gift cards (a staff favorite)
  • Hand cream (for frequent handwashing)A

💌 The Most Important Part

Add a heartfelt message.

A simple note can mean more than anything in the box.

Ideas to include:

  • A large card, “For the whole team—thank you for everything you pour into these youth every day.”
  • Handwritten cards recognizing their dedication, compassion, and impact
